Job Summary

The Purchase Executive is responsible for procuring materials, furniture, fixtures, hardware, electrical items, plumbing materials, finishing products, and services required for interior fit-out projects. The role ensures timely procurement, cost optimization, quality compliance, and smooth coordination with vendors, project teams, and site engineers.

Key Responsibilities1. Material Procurement

- Procure interior fit-out materials as per project requirements.
- Raise and process Purchase Orders (POs).
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
- Track pending orders and follow up with vendors.

2. Vendor Management

- Identify and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Obtain quotations and compare prices.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain vendor database and performance records.

3. Cost Control

- Compare quotations to achieve cost-effective purchasing.
- Ensure procurement within the approved project budget.
- Support cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.

4. Coordination

- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Store Team, and Accounts.
- Ensure procurement aligns with project schedules.
- Resolve material shortages and urgent procurement requirements.

5. Documentation

- Maintain purchase records, quotations, POs, invoices, and delivery challans.
- Prepare procurement reports and purchase trackers.
- Ensure all procurement documents are properly filed and updated.

6. Inventory Support

- Monitor stock availability.
- Coordinate with stores for material requirements.




- Avoid excess inventory and material shortages.

7. Quality & Compliance

- Ensure purchased materials meet project specifications.
- Verify quality certifications where applicable.
- Follow company procurement policies and procedures.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of interior fit-out materials and vendors.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good understanding of procurement processes.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and ERP/Purchase Software.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Diploma/Degree in Interior Design or Civil Engineering will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in procurement for Interior Fit-Out, Construction, or MEP projects.
