Manual Lathe Machine Operator

We are looking for a skilled and experienced manual lathe machine operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating manual lathe machines to produce precision parts and components according to engineering blueprints and technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities

- Machine Operation: Set up and operate conventional/manual lathe machines safely and efficiently.
- Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job cards to determine part specifications and tolerances.
- Setup & Tooling: Select, mount, and align proper cutting tools, attachments, chucks, and fixtures for each job.
- Machining Operations: Perform various machining operations, including turning, facing, threading, boring, knurling, and tapering on different materials (e.g., steel, aluminum, brass, and cast iron).
- Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintenance:



Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine, including regular lubrication and oil checks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to workshop safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience: Minimum of [1] years of proven experience as a Manual Lathe Operator .
- Education: ITI certification (Turner/Machinist) or a relevant technical diploma is preferred.
- Technical Skills: * Strong proficiency in using measuring tools (micrometers, Vernier calipers).
- Excellent capability to read and understand technical blueprints.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods and lift/handle heavy tools and materials safely.
- Soft Skills: Attention to detail, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
