Job Summary

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Harness or IBM UrbanCode Deploy (UCD) to drive enterprise-scale CI/CD transformation .

This role involves designing and implementing secure, scalable, and automated DevOps pipelines across on-premises and GCP cloud environments , enabling zero-downtime deployments and high system reliability.

The ideal candidate will bring robust knowledge in containerization, Kubernetes, microservices, and cloud migration , along with proven experience in release orchestration and deployment automation .

1. CI/CD Strategy & Implementation

Design, build, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines across on-prem and cloud (GCP) ecosystems
Implement standardized and reusable pipeline frameworks for enterprise applications
Integrate CI/CD pipelines with source control, artifact repositories, testing, and monitoring tools
Ensure high availability, deployment scalability, and resilience across environments

2. Harness Implementation & Deployment Automation

Develop and manage Harness pipelines, workflows, and delegates

Implement advanced deployment strategies including:
Blue-Green deployments
Canary releases
Configure automated rollback mechanisms and deployment verifications
Optimize release pipelines for faster and reliable delivery cycles

3. IBM UrbanCode Deploy (UCD) Expertise

Design and manage UCD components, processes, and applications
Implement release orchestration workflows across multiple environments
Ensure seamless integration of UCD with build and deployment pipelines
Manage application lifecycle deployments with governance and traceability

4. Cloud Migration & GCP Enablement





Lead and support on-prem to GCP migration initiatives

Design deployment strategies using:
Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
Compute Engine
Cloud Storage
Ensure cloud-native architecture adoption with scalability and cost optimization
Support hybrid cloud setups and multi-environment deployments

5. Containerization & Kubernetes

Build and manage containerized environments using Docker
Deploy and operate applications on Kubernetes clusters (GKE/on-prem)
Implement autoscaling, self-healing, and container orchestration best practices
Optimize container image management and deployment pipelines

6. Microservices & Application Integration

Support microservices-based architecture using .NET / .NET Core applications
Enable API-based integrations across distributed systems
Ensure seamless integration between services and deployment pipelines
Validate deployment readiness and environment configurations

7. DevOps Security & Compliance

Implement secure DevOps practices, including:
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
Secrets management
Key Vault / credential vaulting solutions
Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and audit requirements
Integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps practices)

8. Reliability, Monitoring & High Availability

Ensure zero-downtime deployments and high availability systems
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms
Define SLA, SLO,



and reliability standards for platforms
Continuously improve system resilience and performance
Skill Requirements

Technical Skills

10+ years of experience in DevOps / Release Engineering

Strong expertise in:
Harness CI/CD platform
IBM UrbanCode Deploy (UCD)

Advanced knowledge of:
Docker & Kubernetes (GKE preferred)
CI/CD tools, pipeline design, and automation frameworks
Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, or similar)

Cloud & Migration Skills

Proven experience in on-prem to GCP migration

Hands-on with:
GKE clusters
Compute Engine
Cloud Storage

Application & Integration Skills

Experience with microservices architecture (.NET / .NET Core)
Exposure to API-driven integrations and distributed systems

Security & Compliance

Experience implementing:
RBAC policies
Secrets management tools
Secure deployment practices

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Excellent stakeholder communication
Ability to work in high-pressure production environments
Strong collaboration and leadership mindset
