Job Summary

The Librarian is responsible for managing and maintaining the college library, ensuring easy access to learning resources, and creating a well-organized setting that supports students, faculty, and staff in their academic and research activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the college library.
- Maintain and organize books, journals, magazines, newspapers, and digital resources.
- Issue and receive library books while maintaining accurate records.
- Classify, catalog, and arrange books according to library standards.
- Assist students and faculty in locating books, journals, and reference materials.
- Maintain library membership records and update the library database.
- Ensure proper care, maintenance, and inventory of library resources.
- Keep the library clean, organized, and conducive to study.
- Monitor library discipline and maintain a quiet study environment.
- Prepare reports related to library usage, book circulation, and inventory.




- Coordinate the purchase of new books and learning resources based on academic requirements.
- Support accreditation and inspection activities by maintaining library records and documentation.
- Promote reading habits and assist in organizing library orientation programs, book exhibitions, and awareness activities.

Working Relationships

The Librarian works closely with students, faculty members, academic departments, and the college administration to ensure the effective functioning of the library and availability of quality learning resources.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
