Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to lead our MIPI CSI/DSI IP Team in Bangalore. This role requires strong technical depth, proven leadership, and the ability to manage complex IP development programmes in collaboration with global and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of MIPI CSI-2 and DSI-2 controller IP.
- Provide technical direction across architecture, RTL design, integration, verification, and debugging.
- Review technical specifications, design documents, implementation plans, and engineering deliverables.
- Drive resolution of complex design, integration, performance, and customer-related issues.
- Manage team hiring, coaching, capability development, goal setting, and performance management.
- Own project planning, resource allocation, delivery schedules, technical risks, and quality.
- Collaborate with Product, Verification, QA, Manufacturing, Application Engineering, and global stakeholders.
- Support customer discussions, technical reviews, and project escalations were required.
- Ensure compliance with design standards, development processes, and documentation requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

- Master’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant R&D; experience in semiconductor IP, SoC, controller design, or high-speed interfaces.




- At least 3 years of people-management experience, including hiring, coaching, team development, and performance management.
- Strong knowledge of MIPI CSI-2, DSI-2, and/or USB 2.0/3.x.
- Experience in digital design, RTL development, SoC integration, IP verification, and debugging.
- Proven ability to lead architecture and design reviews and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder-management, and decision-making skills.
- Experience working with global and cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel internationally, including Taiwan and the United States, based on business needs.

Preferred Experience

- Experience developing reusable semiconductor IP.
- Exposure to protocol compliance, interoperability, low-power design, and performance Optimisation.
- Experience managing customer escalations or production-related technical issues.
- Familiarity with ASIC/SoC development methodologies and quality processes.
- Experience building and scaling technical teams.
