Position :Data Engineering Architect/Technical Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Data Engineering Architect with over 15+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-scale data platforms. The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, and modern cloud-based data architectures. In addition to technical leadership, the candidate should have strong client-facing experience, including account management, stakeholder engagement, solution consulting, and delivery governance.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership

- Define and implement enterprise data architecture strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms using Microsoft Azure technologies.
- Architect modern data lakehouse solutions leveraging Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.
- Lead the design of end-to-end data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics solutions.
- Establish best practices for data modeling, governance, security, and performance optimization.
- Drive cloud migration and modernization initiatives for enterprise data platforms.

Data Engineering

- Design and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.
- Develop scalable data processing solutions for structured and unstructured data.
- Implement data quality frameworks, monitoring, and automation.
- Optimize SQL queries and database performance across large-scale environments.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise data governance, compliance, and security standards.

Business Intelligence & Analytics

- Design enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI.
- Build semantic models, dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting frameworks.




- Enable self-service BI capabilities across business units.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into technical solutions.

Client & Account Management

- Serve as the primary technical advisor for strategic customer accounts.
- Build and maintain robust client relationships by understanding business goals and technology roadmaps.
- Lead solution discussions, architecture workshops, and technical presentations.
- Identify opportunities for digital transformation, upselling, and service expansion.
- Collaborate with delivery, sales, and pre-sales teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Manage customer expectations, delivery governance, risk mitigation, and escalation handling.

Leadership

- Mentor and guide architects, data engineers, and BI developers.
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical governance sessions.
- Define engineering standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices.
- Drive innovation and adoption of emerging Microsoft data technologies.

Technical Skills

- 15+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Analytics.
- Strong expertise in Azure Databricks.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, OneLake, Real-Time Analytics).
- Expert-level SQL programming and query optimization.
- Strong experience in Power BI development, administration, and enterprise deployment.
- Expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure SQL.
- Experience with PySpark, Spark SQL, and Python.
- Knowledge of Delta Lake architecture and medallion design patterns.
- Experience with CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Git, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Understanding of data governance, security, Purview, RBAC, and compliance frameworks.
