Job Summary

The Stockyard Foreman/Supervisor is responsible for managing the storage, handling, receipt, issuance, and inventory of construction materials in the stockyard. The role ensures materials are stored safely, inventory is accurate, and materials are available to support project activities without delays.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily stockyard operations, including receiving, storing, and issuing construction materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock registers or ERP systems.
- Ensure proper storage and preservation of materials such as steel, cement, aggregates, pipes, precast items, and consumables.
- Coordinate with procurement, stores, site engineers, and project teams regarding material requirements and deliveries.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor loading and unloading activities using cranes, forklifts, or other equipment.




- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and housekeeping standards.
- Inspect incoming materials for quantity and visible quality before acceptance.
- Maintain FIFO (First In, First Out) or FEFO (First Expire, First Out), where applicable.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and stock movement reports.
- Prevent material damage, theft, wastage, and unauthorized issuance.
- Supervise stockyard workers, operators, and helpers, assigning daily tasks and monitoring performance.
- Coordinate disposal or segregation of damaged, surplus, or scrap materials.
