About the Role
Optima Poultry Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a motivated and experienced Microbiology Laboratory Technician – Sample Collection & Testing to join our Microbiology Laboratory. The ideal candidate should have hands-on laboratory experience and be willing to travel for field sample collection from customer sites, poultry farms, feed mills, manufacturing units, and other locations.
Key Responsibilities
Collect microbiological samples from customer locations, poultry farms, feed mills, production units, and other designated sites.
Transport samples safely while maintaining sample integrity.
Perform microbiological testing according to standard laboratory procedures.
Prepare culture media, reagents, and laboratory equipment for testing.
Record, analyze, and maintain accurate laboratory data and test reports.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory samples.
Follow laboratory quality systems, biosafety practices, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Maintain laboratory cleanliness and equipment.
Coordinate with customers and internal teams regarding sample collection schedules.
Qualification
B.Sc. or M.Sc.
in Microbiology (Preferred)
Candidates with relevant Life Science qualifications and microbiology laboratory experience may also apply.
Experience
2–3 years of experience in a Microbiology Laboratory.
Requirements
Valid Two-Wheeler or Four-Wheeler Driving License (Mandatory).
Willingness to travel for sample collection.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of microbiological testing techniques and laboratory documentation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of microbiological analysis and laboratory instruments.
Understanding of laboratory quality systems and documentation.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Positive organizational and time management skills.
Salary
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
