Job Title: Driver

Location: Jothydev's Diabetes Hospital and Research Centre, Trivandrum

Job Summary

The Driver is responsible for providing safe, timely, and reliable transportation for doctors, staff, patients, guests, and hospital materials as assigned. The role requires adherence to traffic regulations, maintaining vehicle cleanliness and safety, and ensuring a high standard of professionalism and courtesy while representing the hospital. The hospital is a specialized diabetes care and research centre with multidisciplinary services and patient-focused care.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely transport doctors, staff, patients, and visitors to designated locations.
- Pick up and deliver medicines, laboratory samples, documents, and other hospital materials as required.
- Ensure timely airport, railway station, and local pickups/drop-offs for hospital guests and consultants.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections, including checking fuel, engine oil, coolant, tyre pressure, brakes, lights, and other essential systems.
- Keep the assigned vehicle clean, well-maintained, and roadworthy at all times.
- Maintain vehicle logbooks, fuel records, service schedules, and trip reports.
- Ensure timely servicing, repairs, insurance renewal, pollution certificate, and other statutory compliance.




- Follow all traffic rules and hospital safety policies.
- Assist patients, especially elderly or differently abled individuals, while boarding and alighting from the vehicle when required.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and hospital information.
- Report accidents, vehicle damage, or mechanical issues immediately to the reporting manager.
- Perform other transport-related duties assigned by the Administration Department.

Qualifications

- Minimum SSLC/Plus Two preferred.
- Valid LMV driving licence .
- Minimum 2–5 years of driving experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Good knowledge of roads and routes in Thiruvananthapuram and surrounding areas.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 per month
