Role:
Vehicle DYNAMICS EVALUATION AND DEVELOPMENT – CHASSIS COMPONENT TUNING & ADAS SYSTEMS CALIBRATION

Responsibility:
Chassis Component tuning and development for passenger cars – Suspension, Brakes, Electric Power Steering, Electronic Stability Control, & Tires tuning

ADAS Functions calibration and testing

Evaluation of vehicle and component for function, performance, and bench reliability

Benchmarking of vehicle performance & component level Chassis Systems & ADAS functions on Competitor Vehicles

Resolution of vehicle concerns/issues and management reporting during various model development stages

Competency Requirements:
Technical/Functional:
Excellent driving and vehicle evaluation skills along with proving ground driving experience

Basic Know-how of Instrumentation, Vehicle level Test Execution and Data Analysis skills

Ascertain the subjective evaluation feelings and able to correlate with objective data of Vehicle Attributes.

Basic Knowledge about Base Brakes/ESP/Vehicle Dynamics system functional tuning and calibration.





Experience as System engineer responsible for calibration of one or more Test Systems for meeting Regulatory/Safety/ Customer convenience features.

Understanding of Vehicle CAN and functioning is desirable.

Understanding of ADAS sensors such as Radar, Camera, Lidar, Ultrasonics, etc.

Exposure to regulatory protocol testing (EUNCAP/JNCAP/AIS) would be added advantage

Specific Expertise for Functional Area:

- Solid Fundamental knowledge in Vehicle Dynamics
- Experience in dynamics analysis software such as MATLAB, Python, Simulink, Famos, CANape, CANoe, CAR Sim, etc.
- Good exposure to hardware/software tools (CANoe/ CANalyser, CAPL, Python, LabVIEW, CAN FD protocol etc.).
- Good understanding of Chassis/Powertrain controller functioning (Mechatronics – sensors, actuators, reading spec/logic book etc)
- Knowledge about regulatory requirement related to vehicle dynamics & ADAS functions
