Job Summary

St. Jude's Global School is seeking a dedicated and organized Librarian to manage and develop the school library as an engaging learning resource for students and staff. The ideal candidate should have a passion for books, strong organizational skills, and the ability to foster a reading culture within the school community.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the daily operations of the school library.
- Catalogue, organize, and maintain books and other learning resources.
- Assist students and staff in locating and using library resources.
- Promote reading habits through library activities and reading programs.
- Maintain accurate records of book issues, returns, and inventory.
- Recommend and procure current books and digital resources.
- Ensure the library remains organized, safe, and student-friendly.
- Coordinate with teachers to support curriculum-related resource needs.

Qualifications





- Bachelor's Degree in Library Science (B.Lib.Sc.) or Master's Degree in Library & Information Science (M.Lib.I.Sc.).
- Prior experience in a school or educational institution is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and library management systems is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Passion for promoting reading and lifelong learning.
