We are seeking an Energy System Modeller with expertise in the power sector, focusing on renewable energy integration, capacity expansion modelling, and grid flexibility assessments. Candidates with proficiency in Python and experience with PyPSA are highly preferred.

Responsibilities include:

- Conduct advanced simulations of power grids to evaluate renewable energy integration and grid stability.

- Develop and apply capacity expansion models to support long-term planning.

- Assess grid flexibility needs and design solutions for optimizing renewable energy uptake.

- Analyze complex technical and socio-economic challenges related to energy systems.

- Research, develop, and implement creative frameworks for renewable energy deployment.

- Perform quantitative data analysis using advanced computational tools and models.

- Prepare academic publications, analytical reports, and other dissemination materials.





- Engage with stakeholders to present technical solutions and create awareness about energy system innovations.

- Mentor and support early-career professionals in energy modeling and research.

Qualifications:
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in energy system modelling or related fields, strong proficiency in Python with familiarity in PyPSA as an advantage, and a solid understanding of renewable energy technologies, power systems, and policy frameworks. Additionally, excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.
