About the Opportunity
Konnectapt is hiring on behalf of a leading Freight Forwarding & Logistics company for the position of Business Development Manager – India–USA Trade Lane.
We are looking for a highly motivated sales professional with experience in international freight forwarding who can drive new business, build strategic customer relationships, and expand the India–USA export trade lane.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business for India–USA Sea Freight Export services.
- Identify and acquire new customers and strategic overseas partners.
- Convert qualified leads into active shipment business.
- Negotiate freight rates and commercial terms with customers and overseas partners.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with exporters, clients, and international agents.
- Address customer queries related to pricing, transit time, destination charges, and service offerings.
- Coordinate with Pricing, Operations, and Documentation teams to ensure seamless shipment execution.
- Manage the sales pipeline, monitor conversions, and consistently achieve business targets.
- Contribute to the growth of the India–USA trade lane through proactive business development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 4–5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding or International Logistics Sales.
- Proven experience in Business Development and customer acquisition.
- Experience in India–USA export trade lane is highly preferred.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication skills for handling international customers and partners.
- Ability to work independently and achieve revenue targets.
Preferred Skills
Experience with any of the following will be an added advantage:
- Ocean Freight Operations
- Import & Export Documentation
- FMC Regulations
- HBL Documentation
- Existing network of exporters or overseas logistics partners
