Electrical Design Engineer (MEP)

Department : MEP | Experience : 8-12 Years | Position Type: Full time | Location: Noida, India

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer responsible for designing, planning, and executing electrical systems for residential, commercial, or industrial projects. The candidate will ensure compliance with relevant standards, safety norms, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare electrical design layouts, drawings, and schematics (HT/LT systems, lighting, power, earthing, etc.)
- Design of load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, and short circuit analysis
- Preparation of SLD (Single Line Diagrams) and panel schedules
- Design and review of transformers, DG sets, UPS, and electrical panels
- Coordination with other disciplines (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Architecture, Civil)
- Preparation of BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and technical specifications
- Vendor drawing review and approvals
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as National Building code, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), National Electrical Code (NEC), and local authority regulations
- Support in tendering, estimation,



and cost optimization
- Site visits for design validation and resolving execution issues

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems (HT/LT distribution, earthing, lighting design)
- Proficiency in software like AutoCAD, Primavera and Ravit.
- Understanding of electrical safety standards and codes
- Good coordination and communication skills
- Problem-solving and analytical ability

Qualifications:

- B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Relevant experience in MEP consultancy or construction projects

Preferred:

- Experience in high-rise residential or commercial projects
- Knowledge of green building standards (like Indian Green Building Council)
- Exposure to fire alarm, BMS, and ELV systems
