Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Management

- Maintain books of accounts and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Prepare payment vouchers, journal entries, cash and bank transactions, and ledger reconciliations.
- Conduct periodic bank reconciliations and ledger scrutiny.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closure.
- Prepare financial statements, schedules, management reports, and MIS reports.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.

2. Statutory Compliance

- Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Qualified Tax, Provident Fund (PF), ESIC, Labour Laws, and other applicable statutory regulations.
- Prepare and file statutory returns within prescribed timelines.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, bankers, and regulatory authorities.
- Support statutory audits, internal audits, donor audits, and compliance reviews.
- Maintain statutory registers, records, and supporting documentation.

3. NGO & Grant Compliance

- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations governing NGOs and non-profit organizations.
- Maintain financial records related to grants, CSR funds, donor contributions, and project expenditures.
- Assist in preparation of utilization certificates, donor reports, fund utilization statements, and grant reconciliations.




- Ensure compliance with donor agreements and funding requirements.
- Monitor project-wise expenses and support program teams in budget utilization.

4. FCRA Compliance

- Ensure adherence to Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) provisions and related rules.
- Maintain separate books of accounts and records for foreign contributions.
- Monitor receipt and utilization of foreign funds in accordance with approved objectives.
- Assist in preparation and filing of annual FCRA returns and related disclosures.
- Support documentation and compliance requirements during FCRA audits and inspections.

5. Section 8 Company Compliance

- Support compliance requirements under the Companies Act, 2013 applicable to Section 8 Companies.
- Coordinate with Company Secretary and compliance consultants for statutory filings.
- Maintain records relating to Board Meetings, Committee Meetings, Annual General Meetings, and governance documentation.
- Assist in preparation of documents required for ROC filings and annual compliances.
- Ensure maintenance of statutory records and registers as prescribed under the Companies Act.

6. Budgeting & Financial Controls

- Assist in preparation of annual organizational and project budgets.
- Monitor budget utilization and variance analysis.




- Track project expenditures against approved budgets and donor commitments.
- Support implementation of financial controls, policies, and procedures.
- Identify process improvements to enhance financial governance and compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- M. Com /MBA- Finance/ CA- Inter preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and compliance, preferably in NGOs, Trusts, Societies, or Section 8 Companies.
- Experience in handling donor-funded projects and FCRA compliance will be an added advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping.
- Sound understanding of GST, TDS, PF, ESIC and statutory compliances.
- Working knowledge of FCRA regulations and Section 8 Company compliances.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime/Tally ERP, MS Excel, and accounting software.
- Knowledge of ZOHO Book (optional)
- Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple compliance deadlines.

Reporting To: Lead Finance

Location: Chembur, Mumbai

Employment Type: Full time

Salary:(Compensation may be higher for exceptionally qualified and deserving candidates, commensurate with experience and expertise.)

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
