Develop software (in 'C') to manage and control digital hardware blocks to implement wireless communication standards physical layer. Hardware <=> software partitioning, interfacing and combined validation. Implement/utilize low level software services like ISRs, timers, mutex, etc. Work closely with teams in the areas of micro-architecture, design, implementation, performance/power/area optimization and validation of different communication IPs. Using profiling, testing and other tools for firmware development.
Education, Experience & Skills:
Master's/Bachelor's Degree in engineering from a reputable college. 1 - 10 years of experience as a firmware engineer. Hands on experience in firmware or embedded software development.
Valuable understanding of wireless standards and its physical layer. Communications theory/digital signal processing (DSP) background would be a plus. Familiarity/working knowledge of RTOS and ARM/MIPS based systems is a plus.
