Key Responsibilities
The Pattern Master is responsible for overseeing and managing the pattern-making process within the sampling unit of the garment industry
The role involves creating accurate patterns, collaborating with design teams, working on CAD software for marker planning, and ensuring high-quality patterns for sample development.
Coordinate with the Merchandising team for providing details for garment costing.
Helping and supervising tailor for the development of protos.
Key Responsibilities
Pattern Development:
Create exact first, sample, and final production patterns from sketches, tech packs, or existing samples.
Fitting & Adjustments: Conduct fitting sessions on models or mannequins, identify fitting issues, and modify patterns to improve drape and proportion.
Grading: Accurately grade base patterns to create a full range of sizes.
CAD & Software: Utilize digital tools like Tukatech, Gerber, Lectra,
or Optitex for pattern design, modification, and fabric optimization (marker making).
Technical Collaboration: Guide sample tailors and production teams on construction techniques and garment finishing.
Cost Efficiency: Minimize material wastage and assist sourcing teams in estimating fabric requirements for garment costing.
Qualifications & RequirementsExperience: Proven background working in garment manufacturing, export houses, or design boutiques.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of fabrics, garment construction, sewing, and textiles.
Software Skills: Proficiency in digital pattern-making software is highly sought after in the industry.
Attention to Detail: Precision in measurements, fine motor skills, and an excellent eye for silhouettes.
