Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute software upgrades on Ciena, Nokia, and Infinera optical platforms following detailed MOPs
- Perform customer circuit grooms and reconfigurations during maintenance windows
- Conduct pre- and post-activity health checks, verification, and rollback planning
- Monitor network performance and ensure zero service impact during changes
- Create and update detailed Methods of Procedure for upgrades and grooms
- Document all activities in ticketing systems and provide explicit status updates
- Troubleshoot issues during activities and escalate when necessary

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

- 3+ years hands-on experience with Ciena, Nokia 1830 PSS, and/or Infinera DWDM platforms
- Strong understanding of DWDM, OTN, and coherent optics




- Experience performing maintenance and changes in live production networks
- Ability to strictly follow procedures while working on live traffic
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Comfortable working US night-time hours during maintenance windows (your daytime)

Nice-to-Haves:

- Experience performing customer circuit grooms and migrations
- Optical certifications from Ciena, Nokia, or vendor-neutral programs
- Experience writing and executing MOPs for complex network changes
- Familiarity with the network management systems for these platforms
