Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Task will include but not be limited to:
• Participate in the efficient operations and maintenance of all building systems
• Maintain operation of electrical and mechanical equipment supporting the facility and facility’s critical operations
• Demonstrated expertise low, medium and high voltage systems operation.
• Check malfunctioning equipment and ascertain corrective action required
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks as required
• Coordinate with third-party vendors to perform work and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
• Requires the ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required.
• Assist with the installation and repair plumbing/piping/tubing; wire single and three phase motors (single & two speed); run conduit; pull wiring to machinery, motors, operating parts, etc.




• Install and rebuild pumps and motors; install and rebuild air compressors; heat exchangers; replace bearings in all types of motors; replace seals on pumps; install and repair piping, valves, filters, hot water systems and associated controls; assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of building and equipment.
• Fully implement all standard operating systems and practices
• Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Maintains a clean and safe workplace.

Skills & Qualifications
• Five years’ experience working with low, medium and high voltage electricity
• Ability to read HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and architectural blueprints
• Ability to use Windows based computers
• Journeyman Electrician preferable
• High school diploma. Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, preferred
• Experience with uninterruptible power systems, emergency power systems, energy management systems, HVAC controls, fire alarm systems, and electrical systems engineering and operation

Certifications/licenses
• Electrical License is required
