Sr. IT Digital Supply Chain Quality Manager

Our site in Pune, India is seeking a strategic digital quality leader to drive the transformation of quality systems across customer, supplier, and shop floor operations. This role will be instrumental in developing a future-proof technology roadmap that integrates data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced analytics to elevate product quality, compliance, and supply chain resilience. The leader will help build models that anticipate process variation, detect quality risks earlier, and enable closed-loop decision-making.

The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in quality IT systems such as, but not limited to, Lab Informatics, Statistical Process / Quality Control, Quality Management platforms, cloud data platforms, and AI- enabled manufacturing analytics. As a change agent, you will lead enterprise-wide digital quality initiatives that enhance product quality, process efficiency, compliance, predictive
insight, and continuous improvement.

- Team Development
- Build and lead a high-performing IT quality systems team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Define and implement a clear team structure, ensuring alignment with business needs and technology priorities.
- Attract, recruit, and retain top IT and quality systems talent, investing in professional development and training.
- Conduct performance evaluations, mentorship programs, and succession planning to support career growth.

- Strategic Roadmap

- Develop a multi-year digital roadmap, integrating emerging technologies to enhance quality control and operational efficiency.
- Align IT solutions with business objectives, defining short- and long-term technology strategies that drive automation, AI-powered analytics, and real-time decision-making.
- Establish a data-driven quality strategy that uses AI/ML, statistical modeling, and advanced analytics to shift quality from reactive issue resolution to predictive and preventive decision-making.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and Data Science teams to prioritize high-value use cases for feedback control, optimization, anomaly detection, predictive quality, and root-cause intelligence.
- Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain leaders to ensure IT systems enhance product reliability, compliance, and traceability.
- Translate complex technical solutions into business language, ensuring executive alignment and buy-in.

- Implementation

- Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of quality systems across the enterprise, managing projects from conception to deployment with timely delivery, budget control, and risk management.
- Leverage Agile and DevOps methodologies to enhance flexibility and responsiveness.
- Leverage cloud technologies and data lakes to build secure, scalable, high-performance quality systems and AI-powered analytics for real-time decision-making and trend analysis.




- Lead the development and operationalization of AI/ML-enabled quality applications, including feedforward models that predict process or material risk before production and feedback models that recommend corrective actions based on inspection, complaint, and process performance data.
- Guide the implementation of complex decision-support and control tools, ensuring they are integrated with enterprise data platforms, MES, ERP, QMS, SPC/SQC, supplier quality, and lab informatics systems for end-to-end visibility.
- Define model lifecycle practices for quality analytics solutions, including data readiness, feature engineering, validation, monitoring, explainability, governance, and continuous model improvement.
- Implement smart automation tools that enhance efficiency while reducing manual intervention and human errors.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to continuously evaluate and improve systems.
- Develop and maintain robust risk mitigation strategies, ensuring system reliability, security, and compliance.
- Foster a culture of experimentation, encouraging pilots and MVPs to test new digital solutions.
- Interface with vendors and managed service providers to manage the delivery of services in support of quality applications.

- Process Standardization & Streamlining

- Collaborate with Global Process Owners (GPO’s) to standardize, streamline and automate quality processes
- Apply data science techniques to connect process parameters, material attributes, equipment signals, supplier inputs, inspection results, and customer quality outcomes into actionable quality intelligence.
- Collaborate with process engineers to improve Statistical Process Control (SPC) / Statistical Quality Control (SQC) to enable predictive quality analytics and minimize defects.
- Enable predictive and prescriptive quality capabilities that identify leading indicators of defects, recommend optimal process adjustments, and support closed-loop continuous improvement across manufacturing and supplier quality processes.
- Enhance real-time complaint management processes and systems, ensuring root-cause analysis and corrective action tracking. Strengthen traceability and non-conformance tracking, ensuring rapid issue resolution.

What We Seek:

- Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
- Experience:
- 8+ years of IT leadership experience, focusing on manufacturing & quality systems.
- Experience implementing predictive analytics and AI-powered quality control.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with data science, data engineering,



and manufacturing engineering teams to develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models in production environments.
- Experience building or enabling feedforward and feedback control models for manufacturing quality, including predictive quality, anomaly detection, defect prediction, root-cause analysis, and process optimization use cases.
- Background in supply chain quality, industrial automation, or digital manufacturing.
- Experience working in a regulated industry (pharmaceuticals, medical devices, aerospace, automotive, etc.)
- Experience planning and executing projects that require contribution from cross-functional team members
- Experience in managing & building business relationships, understanding business imperatives, proposing solutions, and negotiating win-win outcomes

- Other Skills:

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences. Strong business acumen
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
- Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, data pipelines, model governance, responsible AI, explainable AI, and cloud-based analytics platforms; hands-on coding is preferred but not required.
