A well-reputed law firm is looking to hire a Corporate M&A; Partner with 9–12 years of post-qualification experience for its Mumbai / Bangalore office. The firm is seeking a lawyer with strong expertise in corporate transactions, mergers & acquisitions, and strategic advisory. While an established book of business is preferred, the firm is also open to considering candidates with exceptional execution capabilities and strong client relationships that have the potential to be developed into a sustainable business portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for lawyers looking to step into a leadership role and work on sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions with leading corporates, investors, and promoters.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and advise on domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, and strategic investments.
- Structure, draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including share purchase agreements, shareholders' agreements, business transfer agreements, and other commercial contracts.
- Conduct and supervise legal due diligence exercises and provide transaction risk assessments.
- Advise clients on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and general corporate advisory matters.
- Work closely with clients, investment funds, promoters, and management teams throughout the transaction lifecycle.




- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless execution of complex transactions.
- Build and strengthen long-term client relationships while delivering commercially practical legal solutions.
- Mentor junior lawyers, lead transaction teams, and contribute to the growth of the Corporate M&A; practice.
- Support business development initiatives and help expand the firm's corporate practice.

Candidate Profile

- 9–12 years of post-qualification experience in Corporate M&A; and transaction advisory.
- Strong experience in mergers & acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, and corporate restructuring.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills.
- Proven ability to independently manage complex, high-value transactions.
- Strong commercial acumen and client management capabilities.
- An established book of business is preferred but not mandatory.
