Job Summary

The EHS Executive is responsible for implementing and maintaining Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws, company policies, and industry standards. The role focuses on promoting a safe workplace, preventing accidents, supporting environmental sustainability initiatives, and fostering a strong safety culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety

- Implement EHS policies, procedures, and protected work practices.
- Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and audits.
- Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and follow up on corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with PPE requirements and safety standards.
- Conduct safety inductions and periodic training for employees and contractors.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills and evacuation exercises.
- Monitor compliance with permit-to-work systems and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures where applicable.

Environmental Management
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company environmental policies.
- Monitor waste segregation, disposal, and recycling practices.
- Maintain records related to emissions, waste management, water, and energy consumption.
- Support environmental improvement initiatives and sustainability programs.

Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain EHS documentation, registers, and statutory records.
- Assist during internal, customer, and regulatory audits.




- Ensure timely submission of compliance reports and statutory returns.
- Track corrective actions and verify closure.

Employee Engagement
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness campaigns.
- Encourage employee participation in safety initiatives.
- Support safety committee meetings and follow up on action items.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
- Professional certification in Industrial Safety, Fire & Safety, or EHS is preferred.

Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in an EHS role within manufacturing, industrial, warehousing, or construction environments.
- Freshers with relevant EHS qualifications may be considered for junior positions.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment and hazard identification.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Report writing and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
