Job Summary
seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our Network Security team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in designing, implementing, and automating security solutions within complex network environments. This role involves working within a sophisticated security architecture that includes multiple zones, advanced firewall technologies, and integration with cloud platforms. The SME will play a crucial role in ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of our data center and branch networks.

Security Environment
Firewalls: Checkpoint Quantum Gateway appliances clustered with Maestro Orchestrators and managed with Smart1 multidomain management appliances and Checkpoint VSS.
Security Management: Multiple management domains across different geographies.
Cloud Security: Firewalls deployed in AWS and Azure

Responsibilities




Participate in the design and implementation of new security solutions, including Checkpoint firewalls, Maestro Orchestrators, MDS/MLS, and cloud-based firewalls.
Collaborate with security engineers to identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
Troubleshoot complex security incidents and leverage automation for faster resolution.
Stay current on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and documentation.

Qualifications
Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
• Deep knowledge of firewall technologies checkpoint, cisco ASA, cisco AnyConnect VPN, particularly Checkpoint Quantum Gateways, good to have knowledge of Maestro Orchestrators and Smart1 MDM and Checkpoint VSS platform.
• Experience with security monitoring and incident response.
• Proven experience in security engineering with a strong understanding of network security principles and firewall technologies.
• Knowledge of cloud security concepts and firewall deployments in AWS and Azure (a plus).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced workplace.
