Job Description: A Senior Instrumentation Manager leads the design, maintenance, calibration, and automation of control and instrumentation systems in a power plant. This role minimizes downtime, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives plant safety and efficiency. [1, 2, 3, 4] Key Responsibilities

- Maintenance Management: Oversee predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance of plant systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA) and critical field instruments (temperature, pressure, flow). [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Automation & Upgrades: Guide the integration, troubleshooting, and optimization of plant control systems to maximize generation efficiency. [1]
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor multidisciplinary teams of engineers and technicians; identify training needs. [1]
- Budgeting & Procurement: Manage department budgets, control inventory, and handle procurement of critical spare parts. [1, 2]
- Safety & Compliance:

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech.).
- Experience: Typically 10 to 15+ years of relevant power plant or heavy industry experience, with several years in a leadership capacity.
- Technical Skills: Deep expertise in Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
- Soft Skills: Robust analytical problem-solving, root cause failure analysis (RCFA), and cross-departmental coordination
