Job Description:

- Understand electrical architecture of HEV/EV
- Define the system diagram of the EV for thermal system
- Define the controller architecture, interfaces (electrical and physical), and functions for thermal management system of EV
- Define the high level and detailed requirements for thermal system and controls for EV
- Perform system simulation and sizing for thermal management system of EV
- Develop the thermal management controller functions and software, including logic development, MIL evaluation, HIL evaluation and vehicle level validation using MBD approach
- Develop diagnostics for thermal controllers
- Implement ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements
- Functional Testing, System/Component Benchmarking, and database creation
- Working with stakeholders within the organization and outside (suppliers, consultants) for above development

Technical/ Functional:

- Working experience of automobile thermal management system and / or HVAC system
- Working experience of controls for automobile thermal management system / HVAC System
- Experience of Thermal Management Simulation in Matlab/Simulink or any other tool.




- Experience of Model Based Design with Matlab Simulink/State flow
- Experience in testing at controller level (HIL) and vehicle level
- Exposure to appropriate Regulations and Standards of HEV/EV such as AIS 038, AIS 102, AIS 048 and AIS 084 etc.
- ECU testing, excellent electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of ISO 26262
- Exposure to Hybrid / Electric Thermal management system & Control Design, development, Verification and Validation. Familiarity with on board diagnostics.

Educational Qualification

Essential:

- B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Communication
- Minimum 60 % marks

Desirable:

- M.E / M. Tech in Control Systems / Power Electronics / Mechatronics and project work related to Electric Vehicle / Hybrid Electric Vehicle
