1. Fleet Management & Secondary Distribution

- Oversee daily dispatch scheduling, vehicle allocation, and route planning for the North Region network.

- Ensure a 100% cold-chain compliance environment by monitoring multi-temperature reefer vehicle logs.

- Direct multi-drop store delivery routes to maximize vehicle utilization and minimize total distance traveled.

2. Vendor Management & Compliance

- Manage relationships, contracts, and performance evaluation (KPI trackers) for 3PL transport vendors.

- Enforce statutory compliance for commercial vehicles, including pollution certificates, insurance, and transit permits.

- Audit and clear monthly freight invoices against agreed rate cards, resolving billing discrepancies.

3. Systems & Analytics (SAP / TMS)

- Leverage SAP (SD/MM) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to process Delivery Notes (DN) and shipments.

- Track critical performance indicators: On-Time In-Full (OTIF), Turnaround Time (TAT), and Cost-per-Case.

- Compile and publish accurate daily, weekly, and monthly Logistics MIS dashboards for senior management.

4. Cost Optimization & Safety

- Identify and eliminate distribution bottlenecks to lower overall freight costs year-over-year.

- Implement strict safety, hygiene, and 5S protocols across loading bays and during transit operations.

- Formulate robust backup transportation plans to mitigate disruptions caused by regional weather or strikes.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications Experience & Education

- Education: Graduate (BBA / B.Com / B.Tech)



with a Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Logistics.

- Experience: 4 to 7 years of core logistics experience, ideally within the QSR, FMCG, Cold-Chain, or Perishable Goods industries.

Technical Skills

- ERP: Deep operational proficiency in SAP (Shipment, MM, and SD modules).

- Tools: High competency in MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data dashboards) and TMS software.

- Geography: Strong familiarity with transit corridors, highway restrictions, and delivery nodes across Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and J&K.;

Behavioral Attributes

- Excellent negotiation, vendor-handling, and problem-solving skills under high-pressure timelines.

- Availability to supervise shifts and manage crisis situations in a 24/7 retail supply chain format.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team of transportation and logistics professionals in the North Region.
- Develop and implement strategies for regional route optimization, considering factors like cost, time, and environmental impact.
- Ensure strict adherence to cold-chain compliance standards to maintain the integrity of perishable goods.
- Utilize SAP to track and analyze dispatch metrics,



identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and warehouse management, to streamline supply chain operations.
- Monitor and manage transportation costs, negotiating contracts with carriers to optimize expenses.
- Implement and maintain a robust transportation management system (TMS) to track and optimize logistics operations.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in transportation and logistics, implementing innovative solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including safety and environmental guidelines.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas of improvement.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent knowledge of SAP and its application in logistics and dispatch management.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and their integration with SAP.
- Understanding of cold-chain logistics and compliance standards.
- Analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
- Willingness to travel within the North Region as required.
