Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
Execute software upgrades on Ciena, Nokia, and Infinera optical platforms following detailed MOPs
Perform customer circuit grooms and reconfigurations during maintenance windows
Conduct pre- and post-activity health checks, verification, and rollback planning
Monitor network performance and ensure zero service impact during changes
Create and update detailed Methods of Procedure for upgrades and grooms
Document all activities in ticketing systems and provide explicit status updates
Troubleshoot issues during activities and escalate when necessary

Qualifications:

Required Skills & Experience:
3+ years hands-on experience with Ciena, Nokia 1830 PSS, and/or Infinera DWDM platforms
Strong understanding of DWDM, OTN, and coherent optics
Experience performing maintenance and changes in live production networks
Ability to strictly follow procedures while working on live traffic
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
Comfortable working US night-time hours during maintenance windows (your daytime)

Nice-to-Haves:
Experience performing customer circuit grooms and migrations
Optical certifications from Ciena, Nokia, or vendor-neutral programs
Experience writing and executing MOPs for complex network changes




Familiarity with the network management systems for these platforms
