About the Role We are looking for a Category Development Head to drive the growth of our residential solar product portfolio. In this role, you will own the product category like a business, ensuring it is commercially successful, customer-focused, and operationally effective. You will work closely with Sales, R&D;, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Product teams to develop market-winning solutions and improve category profitability.

Key Responsibilities
Own the product category, including pricing, profitability, and commercial performance.
Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and customer/dealer feedback analysis to identify market opportunities.
Develop district-level profitability models and monitor category performance using data-driven insights.
Collaborate with R&D; to define and execute the product roadmap based on market requirements.
Ensure pricing compliance and Bill of Materials (BoM) accuracy across the sales and operations teams.




Drive cross-functional collaboration between Product, Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
Develop and implement SOPs and MIS processes to improve governance and operational efficiency.
Support recent product introductions and feature enhancements for the residential solar portfolio.

Required Skills
10+ years of experience in Category Management, Product Management, or Product Strategy.
Solid experience managing product pricing, category P&L;, profitability, and portfolio performance.
Hands-on experience in Market Intelligence, Competitive Benchmarking, Product Positioning, and Demand Analysis.
Strong understanding of Unit Economics, Pricing Strategy, and Business Analytics.
Experience working with cross-functional teams including Sales, R&D;, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations.
Experience creating SOPs, compliance processes, and performance dashboards.
Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Education
B.E./B.Tech (Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical)
MBA from a reputed institute preferred
