Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC cylindrical grinding machines for internal and external grinding.
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
Select and mount grinding wheels, fixtures, and tools as per job requirements.
Perform machine offsets and minor CNC program adjustments.
Monitor machining processes to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
Use measuring instruments such as micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, and dial indicators.
Conduct in-process and final inspection of components.
Maintain proper documentation of production and quality records.
Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
Follow safety procedures and ensure a clean working workplace (5S).
Required Skills & Competencies
Robust knowledge of cylindrical grinding (OD/ID grinding).
Familiarity with CNC controls (Fanuc/Siemens preferred).
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Good understanding of tolerances, fits, and surface finishes.
Basic troubleshooting skills for machine and process issues.
Attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset.
Qualifications
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Certification in CNC machining or grinding (preferred).
Experience
2–5 years of experience in cylindrical grinding (CNC or conventional).
Experience in precision manufacturing or automotive/aerospace components preferred.
Working Conditions
Shop floor workplace with exposure to machines, noise, and coolant.
Rotational shifts may be required.
