The Aircraft Interiors Design Engineer/Lead for the Airbus A320/A330/A350/A380 is responsible for designing, developing, and integrating cabin interior components while ensuring compliance with safety, certification, manufacturing, and customer requirements.
Academic Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering.
Relevant Experience:
3–12 years of experience in Aircraft Interiors Design
Design aircraft interior components using CATIA V5/V6.
Develop 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
Design and modify:
Galleys
Lavatories
Stowages
Closets
Sidewall panels
Ceiling panels
Passenger service units (PSU)
Cabin partitions
Crew rest areas
Perform installation and integration within the A320/A330/A350/A380 fuselage.
Ensure compliance with Airbus design standards and certification requirements.
Conduct tolerance stack-up and interface analysis.
Support weight reduction and cost optimization activities.
Coordinate with stress, manufacturing, systems, and production teams.
Resolve production and in-service issues through design changes.
Prepare engineering documentation, including:
2D drawings
Bill of Materials (BOM)
Engineering Change Requests (ECR)
Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
