Role Description The Early Years Homeroom Teacher (EY/PYP) is a full time, in office role based in Mumbai, responsible for guiding young learners in accordance with IB Primary Years Programme standards. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that integrate the #LifeLiteracy philosophy and support social, emotional, and academic development. Daily responsibilities include creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom environment, assessing student progress, documenting learning, and providing regular feedback to families.

The role involves collaborating with colleagues and academic leadership on curriculum planning, participating in career development, and contributing to school events and community initiatives. The teacher will also ensure classroom practices align with the school’s ethos, safeguarding policies, and high standards of care. Qualifications





Candidates should possess strong skills in Teaching and Education, with experience in early years or IB PYP settings.

Candidates should possess effective Lesson Planning and curriculum design skills to create age-appropriate, inquiry-based learning experiences.

Candidates should possess clear and empathetic Communication skills for interaction with learners, families, and colleagues.

Candidates should possess Training and facilitation skills to support learner independence and team-oriented learning.

Relevant bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; formal early childhood or IB PYP training is highly beneficial.

Demonstrated ability to create inclusive, child-centered classrooms and manage diverse learner needs.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and alignment with the school’s life literacy and holistic education philosophy.

Experience working in international or progressive schools, particularly in Mumbai or similar urban contexts, is an advantage.
