Role Summary

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer with solid experience in furniture design and industrial product development. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in wood and sheet metal furniture, proficiency in 3D CAD tools, and a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes. This is an excellent chance to work on innovative projects involving office furniture, storage systems, and seating solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather design requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
Develop conceptual and detailed engineering designs for furniture products.
Design and model sheet metal and wooden parts for furniture such as tables, chairs, sofas, and storage systems.
Generate accurate manufacturing drawings from 3D models.
Conduct design reviews to enhance performance, manufacturability,



and resolve technical issues.
Apply GD&T;, tolerance stack-up analysis, and adhere to standards like ANSI, JIS, and DIN.
Coordinate closely with customers and suppliers to ensure alignment on design intent and feasibility.
Support production, assembly, and manufacturing processes with practical engineering inputs.
(Preferred) Hands-on experience with fabrication, assembly, and material handling systems.

Desired Skill Set
Robust grasp of engineering mechanics, strength of materials, and machine design principles.
Minimum 4 years of core experience in sheet metal, wooden furniture, and material handling equipment design.
In-depth knowledge of wood & sheet metal product design for industrial applications.
Familiarity with furniture symbols and design elements used in overheads, towers, pedestals, cabinets, work surfaces, metal files, bookcases, seating, and undersurface storage.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Pro-E (Creo), or Autodesk Inventor.
Basic understanding of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).
