Position Description

Lead the underwriting strategy and team operations for group health and personal accident insurance, ensuring profitability and portfolio growth.

Key Responsibilities
Own the profitability and top-line growth of the Group Health and Group Personal Accident (PA) insurance portfolio.
Lead the evaluation of group proposals by analyzing claims history, coverage terms, demographics, and market dynamics.
Ensure timely and competitive quote generation, with a focus on identifying high-conversion, profitable accounts.
Collaborate with external stakeholders (sales teams, brokers, channel partners, clients) and internal teams (Operations, IT) to support business acquisition and retention.
Drive efficiency within the underwriting team by identifying automation opportunities and providing inputs for IT system enhancements.
Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and innovations in the group health insurance space.




Recommend current product ideas and underwriting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
Manage and mentor a team of underwriters, ensuring high performance, skill development, and alignment with business goals.
Foster robust working relationships across the value chain to support seamless execution and client satisfaction.
