Support the maintenance team in carrying out preventive, breakdown, and corrective maintenance of plant machinery and equipment to ensure smooth production operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preventive maintenance of machines as per the maintenance schedule.
Attend machine breakdowns under the guidance of senior maintenance personnel.
Inspect mechanical components for wear and damage.
Replace bearings, belts, chains, couplings, and other mechanical parts.
Perform lubrication and routine servicing of machines.
Assist in machine installation, alignment, and commissioning.
Maintain tools, equipment, and housekeeping in the maintenance area.
Record maintenance activities in maintenance logs.
Follow safety procedures and use PPE at all times.
Coordinate with production teams to minimize machine downtime.
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of mechanical maintenance.
Understanding of bearings, gears, belts, chains, and couplings.
Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments.
Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is an advantage.
Ability to read simple engineering drawings.
Valuable communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work in shifts and overtime when required.
