Job Summary

The Lead software Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible to architect, design, code, debug and implement software features, enhancements, working collaboratively with the team. He or she will develop quick prototypes to demonstrate the design concepts and product ideas to the team and management. Furthermore, the candidate will work independently as well as with SMEs.

This position reports to the Software Engineering Manager of Digital Solution - Cloud Platform and is part of the Digital Solutions R&D; group located in Bengaluru and will be an on-site role.

Responsibilities
Architect, design, code, and test robust software solutions while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Investigate/Understand complex issues coming in from the field and drive to root cause
Champion software development best practices to maintain high-quality standards.
Develop prototypes to demonstrate design concepts, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to translate needs into actionable features.

Requirements
Bachelor s/Master s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering,



or a related field with 7+ years proven experience in Linux and scripting.
Hands-on experience with Linux systems, along with robust knowledge of networking fundamentals and scripting using Python and Shell.
Hands on experience on DevOps, Continuous Integration, delivery and deployment, version Control (e.g., git).
Build and maintain container images (Docker, Podman)
Valuable knowledge in DHCP, DNS, OpenVPN, Routing, Bridging, Firewall
Exposure in troubleshoot boot failures, kernel panic, filesystem corruption, and performance issues.
Support CI/CD deployments through Azure DevOps.

Preferred qualifications
Experience in medical device design & development in Agile setting is a plus.
Understanding of software development processes for a regulated environment (FDA/ISO13485) and experience in medical device verification is a plus
