Role Description The Primary Home Room Teacher – Cambridge will serve as the main educator and mentor for primary-grade learners within the Cambridge curriculum framework. This full-time, on-site role is based in Chennai and involves planning and delivering engaging lessons, facilitating active learning, and supporting the overall development of each learner.

Day-to-day responsibilities include designing age-appropriate learning activities, maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom workplace, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, communicate regularly with families,



and contribute to school initiatives that align with the Cambridge approach and Prayaas Consulting’s educational philosophy.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with a B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
2–3 years of teaching experience with Primary learners, preferably within the Cambridge Primary framework.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to plan and facilitate meaningful, learner-centred learning experiences.
Ability to design and adapt learning plans, demonstrating strong Curriculum Development and Education skills.
Strong Communication skills for effective interaction with learners, families, and colleagues.
Cambridge curriculum training or certification is an advantage.
Experience working with primary-age learners in an international or Cambridge school setting is preferred.
Ability to create an inclusive, safe, and engaging classroom setting that supports diverse learning needs.
Comfort with basic educational technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
Team-oriented mindset, openness to feedback, and commitment to continuous professional growth.
