We are looking for a Senior Shift Engineer to independently manage moulding shop operations on a No-Bake Sand System, ensuring production, quality, safety and manpower efficiency during the shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage shift-wise moulding, core-making, mould assembly and closing activities.
Handle heavy casting moulds up to 25 MT safely and efficiently.
Monitor no-bake sand plant, mixer operation, binder/catalyst dosing and sand reclamation.
Ensure mould and core quality as per process standards and method sheets.
Control moulding-related defects and rejections through RCA and corrective actions.
Lead and manage shift manpower, including moulders, core makers, helpers and supervisors.
Coordinate with Methoding, Quality, Melting and Maintenance teams for smooth production.
Monitor production targets, rejection levels, housekeeping, 5S and safety compliance.
Prepare shift production/rejection reports and ensure proper shift handover.
Required Skills: Robust hands-on knowledge of No-Bake Moulding, Core Making, Sand Plant Operations, Heavy Casting Moulding, Defect Analysis and Shift Management, with positive leadership and problem-solving skills.
