Job Title: Security Officer

Location: Chennai

Job Purpose

Ensure safety and security of staff, students, visitors, and property by monitoring access, preventing incidents, and maintaining a protected workplace.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor gates, entry/exit points, and maintain visitor records.
Conduct routine patrols across campus/buildings.
Monitor CCTV and report suspicious activities immediately.
Ensure restricted areas, classrooms, offices, and storerooms are secured.
Respond to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies.
Assist during school/college opening & closing hours for safe movement.
Support crowd/traffic control during events and peak hours.
Maintain security logbooks, incident reports, and material in/out registers.
Report safety hazards or infrastructure issues.
Protect institutional assets and prevent theft, misuse, or unauthorized movement.

Skills & Qualifications




10th/12th pass; experience in security/defence preferred.
Good observation, communication, and reporting skills.
Physically fit, alert, disciplined, and reliable.
Basic knowledge of CCTV and security procedures.

Work Conditions
Rotational shifts including nights.
Long hours of standing and walking.
Duty during events, functions, and special activities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Zero security breaches and timely incident reporting.
Proper maintenance of records/registers.
Adherence to security protocols and punctuality.
Effective support during emergencies and events.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent, Fresher Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
