Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or other relevant field required.
Master's degree in accounting beneficial, master's degree in taxation preferred.

Experience
6+ years of prior experience in Sales and Use Tax Compliance.
Ability to schedule compliance cycle from retrieval of data to filing and payment and final reconciliation.
Timely and prompt communication to stakeholders both internal and external.
Well-versed with state-specific nuances and incorporating them into the process.
Valuable hands-on knowledge on onboarding and automation.

Software
Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Products including Excel, Power Query, Access, Vertex, or other application for SUT.
Familiarity with Alteryx and database software, preferred.

Skills & Abilities
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Effectively manage and leverage engagement workload.




Solid analytical skills, critical thinking skills, and ability to manage up or down.
Capacity to lead and guide a team.
Process a valuable understanding of Tax Technological Concepts.
Ensure the returns reviewed are legitimate and meet stakeholder expectations.
New changes or events are documented for future reference purposes.
Capable of effectively developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships.

Notice Handling
Ensuring TAT for ad-hoc requests are maintained as well as for routine compliance tasks.
Independently handle and troubleshoot challenges around the compliance process.
Proficiency in decision-making skills.
