Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the overall accounting function of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting.
Review and oversee the preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements for the Group and its subsidiary entities in compliance with Ind AS.
Manage and coordinate quarterly and annual statutory audits, working closely with external auditors to ensure timely completion and resolution of audit matters.
Perform and review the annual impairment assessment of goodwill and other intangible assets in accordance with Ind AS 38.
Oversee quarterly and annual foreign exchange (forex) restatement of import payables, ensuring compliance with Ind AS requirements.
Review and supervise accounting and reporting for leases under Ind AS 116, including lease accounting workings and disclosures.
Lead the Accounts Payable (AP) function, driving process improvements and operational efficiency.
Oversee the capitalization of internal IT development costs, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely month-end financial close and reporting.
Provide accounting solutions and guidance on complex accounting matters.
Key Skills & Competencies
Solid technical knowledge of Ind AS, including consolidation, impairment (Ind AS 38), and leases (Ind AS 116).
Proven experience managing statutory audits and liaising with external auditors.
Robust analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to lead a team and drive process improvement initiatives.
High attention to detail with a solid sense of ownership and accountability.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications & Experience
Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification required; CPA or equivalent will also be considered.
10–12 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, financial reporting, and audit, preferably including experience in a Big 4 audit firm and/or a large corporate finance function.
Demonstrated experience with Ind AS-based financial statement preparation and consolidation for a group of companies.
Prior experience managing or supervising an Accounts Payable function is preferred.
