A Radiographer is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and other imaging procedures to assist doctors in diagnosing and treating patients. They ensure patient safety, maintain imaging equipment, and produce high-quality images.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures (X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound as applicable)
Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly
Ensure patient safety and follow radiation protection protocols
Operate and maintain imaging equipment properly
Review and ensure the quality of images before submission to doctors
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines
Assist radiologists and doctors during special imaging procedures
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the radiology department
Qualifications:
Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Radiography or Medical Imaging Technology
Valid certification or registration (as per local regulations)
Skills Required:
Knowledge of radiographic techniques and equipment
Attention to detail and accuracy
Positive communication and patient-handling skills
Ability to work in a team
Basic computer knowledge for handling imaging software
Experience:
Fresher or 1–3 years of experience in a hospital/diagnostic center
Work Conditions:
Work in hospitals, diagnostic centers, or clinics
May involve shift duties, including nights and weekends
Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹43,907.82 per month
