The Opportunity

Kalyani Ventures Limited is seeking a senior logistics leader to head its railway rake operations across large-scale industrial and bulk logistics projects. This role goes beyond execution—it requires strategic oversight, cost optimization, and stakeholder influence to drive efficiency across complex, multi-location operations.

If you have built your career managing high-volume rail logistics, dealing with Indian Railways at a senior level, and driving operational excellence in bulk commodity movement, this role offers you the platform to make a tangible business impact.

Your Mandate

You will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of rake logistics, ensuring seamless coordination between railways, plant operations, commercial teams, and external stakeholders.
Drive strategic planning and execution of rake movement across locations
Build solid working relationships with Indian Railways, siding authorities, and regulatory bodies
Optimize freight cost, turnaround time, detention & demurrage
Lead multi-site logistics operations for inbound and outbound bulk materials
Ensure compliance, documentation integrity, and operational governance
Develop vendor ecosystems and transporter networks for scalable operations
Drive data-led decision-making through MIS, analytics,



and performance dashboards

What We Are Looking For
10–18 years of experience in railway freight / rake logistics / bulk operations
Deep understanding of Indian Railways processes, documentation, and coordination frameworks
Proven track record in handling bulk commodities (coal, iron ore, cement, steel, etc.)
Robust exposure to industrial settings—mining, infrastructure, manufacturing, or logistics
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and influence outcomes

Leadership Edge
Ability to operate in high-pressure, high-volume environments
Strong commercial acumen and cost optimization mindset
Hands-on yet strategic—comfortable being both on-ground and in boardroom discussions
