The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, managing statutory compliance, budgeting, taxation, and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations. The role requires solid analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain books of accounts and general ledger.
Record daily financial transactions accurately.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Handle bank reconciliation and cash flow management.
Prepare and file GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory returns.
Manage accounts payable and receivable.
Process vendor payments and employee reimbursements.
Prepare budgets, financial reports, and MIS reports.
Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory regulations.
Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
Monitor financial controls and suggest process improvements.
Support management in financial planning and decision-making.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com)
M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter (Preferred)
Experience
2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Required Skills
Solid knowledge of Accounting Principles.
Proficiency in Tally Prime and MS Excel.
Working knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF & ESI.
Experience with bank reconciliation and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and organizational abilities.
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
