Position

Assistant Professor – B.Voc. Fashion Designing and Garment Technology

Qualification
Master's Degree in Fashion Designing, Garment Technology, Apparel Design, Textile & Clothing, Costume Design, or a relevant discipline from a recognized University.
Eligibility and qualifications must be as per I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) norms.
Candidates with teaching, industry, or research experience will be preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities
Deliver lectures, practical demonstrations, studio sessions, and laboratory classes for B.Voc. Fashion Designing and Garment Technology students.
Teach subjects related to fashion design, garment construction, pattern making, draping, textiles, apparel production, CAD, merchandising, and fashion illustration.
Prepare lesson plans, study material, assignments, and assessment tools.
Guide students in practical work, design projects, internships,



exhibitions, and industry-based learning.
Maintain academic records, attendance, internal assessments, and evaluation reports.
Organize workshops, fashion shows, seminars, industrial visits, and skill development activities.
Participate in curriculum development, departmental activities, admissions, student mentoring, and quality assurance initiatives.
Perform other academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the institution.

Salary

Negotiable and commensurate with qualifications, experience, and performance.

Additional Information
Candidates must be willing to relocate to Nawanshahr, Punjab.
Separate boys' and girls' hostel accommodation is available within the campus.
