The Hospital Purchase Manager oversees the procurement of medical and non-medical supplies, equipment, and services. The role ensures cost-effective purchasing, maintains quality standards, and guarantees timely availability of materials to support patient care and hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with hospital needs and budget
Source and evaluate vendors for medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and general supplies
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and procurement policies
Maintain inventory levels and coordinate with departments to forecast requirements
Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality or delays
Prepare purchase orders and track deliveries
Collaborate with finance for budgeting and cost control
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
