Patent Agent
The Patent Agent supports the protection and management of intellectual property by preparing, filing, and prosecuting patent applications.
The role involves working closely with inventors, researchers, engineers, and legal teams to identify patentable inventions and develop effective patent strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and file patent applications.
Conduct patentability, prior art, and freedom-to-operate searches.
Manage patent prosecution before patent offices.
Analyze inventions and prepare technical disclosures.
Support patent portfolio development and maintenance.
Monitor competitor patents and technology trends.
Coordinate with inventors, R&D; teams, and external counsel.
Assist with IP due diligence and patent landscape analyses.
Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering, Science, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Qualified/registered Patent Agent (as applicable in the jurisdiction).
Experience in patent drafting and prosecution.
Solid technical writing and analytical skills.
