Responsibilities:
Production Operations
Manage and supervise shift-wise production activities in the injection molding department.
Ensure optimum machine utilization and minimal downtime.
Set machine parameters as per product requirements and troubleshoot molding issues.
Monitor cycle time, process parameters, and product quality.
Machine & Process Handling
Operate and maintain injection molding machines (e.g., Ferromatik Milacron, Haitian, Toshiba, etc.).
Change molds and set tools as per production planning.
Troubleshoot defects like short shots, flash, sink marks, warpage, etc.
Quality Assurance
Work closely with the Quality team to maintain product standards.
Conduct in-process quality checks and first-off approvals.
Implement corrective and preventive actions for process deviations.
Team Management
Supervise and guide machine operators and helpers during shifts.
Train staff on machine operation, safety, and maintenance practices.
Ensure compliance with workplace discipline and safety standards.
Production Planning & Reporting
Coordinate with the planning team to achieve daily/weekly production targets.
Maintain daily production reports, downtime logs, and shift reports.
Monitor raw material availability and coordinate with stores.
Maintenance Coordination
Report machine breakdowns and assist in minor troubleshooting.
Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Required Skills:
Robust knowledge of injection molding processes and machine settings.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and process sheets.
Valuable analytical and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with production planning tools and ERP systems.
Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen (preferred).
