Key Responsibilities
Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute routine maintenance schedules (lubrication, part replacements, recalibrations) to prevent unexpected machinery failures.
Troubleshooting and Repair: Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns, analyze the root cause, and implement prompt corrective measures.
Budget and Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement and tracking of spare parts to ensure necessary components are always available while controlling maintenance costs.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all machinery and facility systems operate in full compliance with local safety regulations and industry standards guidelines.
Documentation & CMMS: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and machine performance using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Continuous Improvement: Analyze performance data to recommend machinery upgrades or process redesigns that boost reliability.
Requirements and Skills
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with the ability to read complex engineering schematics.
Diagnostic Skills: Proficiency with condition-monitoring tools (e.g., vibration analyzers, thermal cameras) and CMMS platforms like Maximo or UpKeep.
Certifications: Industry-recognized designations such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Skilled (CMRP) or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) are highly valued.
