Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled professional for strategic sourcing and costing initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep technical understanding of sheet metal manufacturing and automotive standards, combined with strong commercial acumen in vendor development and cost negotiation. He will be responsible for costing of NPD & Price Amendments, including tooling and fixtures, while ensuring cost-down targets are met through effective market analysis and supplier management.

Role & responsibilities
1. Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management
RFQ Management: Manage the issuance of RFQs to various suppliers and ensure the procurement of the best pricing within defined timelines.
Vendor Development: Lead vendor development activities and manage supplier relationships to ensure high- quality sourcing of raw materials and parts.
Negotiation: Conduct professional cost negotiations with suppliers to achieve organizational cost-down targets and track the progress of cost-saving projects.
2. Costing & Technical Analysis
Project Costing:



Execute detailed costing for sheet metal parts (including nesting), proto parts tooling, and welding fixtures for new projects.
Process Expertise: Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and costs across sheet metal domain is must. Basic understanding of Plastic Molding/Wire Forming/Machining/Forging.
Finishing Processes: Maintain familiarity with and account for various finishing processes such as powder coating, plating, and anodizing in cost estimations.
3. Material & Market Intelligence
Standards Compliance: Apply a solid understanding of raw material grades (CRC, HR, Tubing, etc) and international standards (JIS, ASTM, EN, ISO).
Market Monitoring: Review and monitor global market trends for raw materials and commodities to anticipate price fluctuations.
Price Amendments: Manage commodity price settlements and ensure timely raw material price amendments with suppliers.
