Position Overview: The Senior Manager of Operations and Contracting for MICE, plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of all operational aspects related to MICE events. This role requires a seasoned professional with a robust background in operations management, contract negotiation, and vendor management within the MICE industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
Oversee the end-to-end operational aspects of MICE events, including planning, execution, and post-event evaluation.
Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in event execution.
Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to ensure all operational requirements are met within specified timelines and budgets.
Identify potential operational risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
Contracting:
Lead the contracting process for MICE events, including negotiating contracts with venues, suppliers, and other service providers.
Ensure all contracts comply with legal and company standards, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate long-term contracts to secure competitive pricing and quality service.
Monitor contract performance and address any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
Vendor Management:
Identify and on-board new vendors and suppliers as needed, ensuring they meet quality and service standards.
Manage vendor relationships, including contract renewals, performance evaluations, and issue resolution.
Collaborate with vendors to innovate and improve services, processes, and offerings.
Budget Management:
Work closely with the finance department to develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
